Our first little "adventure" when we returned home was a little trip to the local bowling alley. We met some of my co-workers there and Kellyn had fun showing off her bowling techniques. They had THE COOLEST (i'm easy to please) contraption for the "little bowlers". It was a big metal ramp thingy that you put the ball up on and they can just push it and launch it onto the alley.
She would lug her heavy ball over there, let Jim put it on the ramp then using 1 little finger, push the ball off the ramp. Then we would wait and watch as her little bowling ball crept down the the lane (bumpers up of course) and hit down the pins. Granted, it would take forever b/c it's not like her ball was traveling at great speeds....but she would get SOO excited when it finally got there.
This is her professional bowlers pose........we worked hard on that!
Meanwhile, little Miss Kaitlin slept soundly in the comforting arms of Ria....who was in her glory! Ria's been nagging me for some baby time and she got it! :-)
It was a scorcher today, so we decided to cool off in the lake. We met some friends there (with their pooches too) and we too refuge in the cool waters..........swimming and playing. It felt just perfect!
Kellyn was not too fond of the mud between her toes, but otherwise....she was in heaven. Not only was she in water, but she was surrounded by her 2 favorite people....Chase and Xena! That's right......you would THINK it would be Mom and Dad, but not to her. She just loves those dogs! Wonder where she gets that from!!?? :-)
Here's Oso and Xena being smart letting the other, much younger pups bring in all the frisbees and tennis balls. Wisdome does come with age!!This morning, as I was changing Kaitlins diaper on our bed, Kellyn was playing around in my nightstand. Next thing I see it this. She had taken KC's old collar (which I keep in my bedside drawer - I know....crazy) was wearing it like a tiara! Perhaps that's the only tiara this little "princess" will ever wear! Made me laugh!!

Sweet little girls you have ther. We are planning on doing the bowling thing with our kids soon, can't wait to use this contraption!
Bailey will get a kick out of it. It's really perfect for those who can't quite do the "heave through the legs" thing. Let's hope our girls NEVER master THAT technique!! ;-)
I love Kellyn's form!
