Trick or Treat

This was a weekend full of fun.........and LOTS of candy!

Started off Friday night with some gool ol' fashioned trick or treating. We joined Chris and Lisa (and the boys) along with good friends: Cheryl and Russ and their 2 kids (Rowan and Charlie), and Ron and Gina and their 2 boys (Nick and Max). Lisa was generous enough to open her home. Their neighborhood is a Halloween MECCA so it worked out perfect.

All the kids had a blast running from one house to the other. People couldn't even get the candy in Kellyn's bucket before she was asking us if we could go to the next house. She was DEFINITELY in the Halloween spirit.

This picture was IMPOSSIBLE to take

Cutest little Alligator EVER

Kait just LOVED her costume

Nothing like an octopus who sucks her thumb!

This house had way cool decorations

The Lone Ranger, new and improved

Matt being.....Matt (just a tonto style)
Lisa always has a way of feeding us VERY well
Kellyn made this mask at school last week

As though we all didn't get enough of each other, Ron and Gina were awesome enough to have us all over for lunch on Saturday after church. Not only was the food SPECTACULAR, but the company was even better!! We all just lounged around and talked while our combined 9 children played like crazy. Little or small......didn't matter. They just played and played. The girls were POOPED when we finally got home that night.
And to make it even better.....Ashley came over to babysit and Jim and I were able to have an actual date night. First time since I can't remember when. We feasted at PF Chang's and then leisurely made our way to a movie where we divulged in candy and popcorn. We saw "Pride and Glory" - new flick with Edward Norton. Really good movie - disturbing but good!
Sunday it was back to reality - spent the day cleaning and getting things ready for the week. Despite the fact that Monday has once again reared it's ugly head - we had a fabulously refreshing weekend..............and LOTS of candy too - that always makes things better! :-)
